How can I get Medicare drug coverage?

To get Medicare drug coverage, you must join a plan run by an insurance company or other private company approved by Medicare. Each plan can vary in cost and drugs covered. If you decide not to get Medicare drug coverage when you are first eligible, you are likely to pay a late enrollment penalty.

Are my drugs covered?
It depends on the plan formulary. A formulary is a list of the drugs that a plan covers.

Do I have to get a Medicare drug plan if I have a Medicare Advantage Plan?
Most Medicare Advantage Plans include Prescription Drug Coverage. There are some exceptions to this depending on the type of plan you have and Golden Path Senior Solution will make sure you’re covered properly.

When can I change this plan?
During annual enrollment, you can add, drop or switch your Medicare coverage, including Stand-Alone Prescription Drug Plans. Annual Enrollment Period is October 15th – December 7th.

Depending on certain circumstances, you may be able to enroll in a medicare plan outside of the initial enrollment or annual enrollment time frames.
